Stone Cold

I think this door and it's frame have a certain beauty and merit being discussed. The huge door is really very nice, but honestly, the ensemble leaves me a bit cold. No, I don't want to say I don't like this door, I guess I just feel a bit chilly when I look at it. Even though there are several figures and faces around this door, I just can't seem to find any warmth or cheerfulness when I look at it. Odd that I have this impression of the door because each element does have charm. Perhaps it is I that is the odd one..yes, this is quite possible!

Forbidding is the word that springs to mind.
Like it could be a prison door or a court of justice.
Still, fascinating in its robustness as well as the details. And beautifully photographed for our delectation.

Maybe it's the shades of gray and the fact that it's metal...I think it looks cold too!

You find the most amazing doors to photograph, you should really publish a book. They are all so interesting to look at :)

I like it but I always like the wonderful doors that you share. I really need to start paying more attention to doors especially when I travel.

I really love all the statues and faces around. they are very unusual!
Iron, grey and squares give to this door a kind of "jail door" look..

I agree. The details of the door and its surrounding decor are exquisite but it is austere and lacks the warmth of many of the other doors that one would see in Praha.

If this door had a occupation it would be that of High School Principal!!! It is a stern door.

I like many other doors better, but this style, although very cold is still impressive.
