Looking back over the doors I have already posted, I have to say that I'm surprised at how certain elements appear over and over again. Faces and heads; sure...lions;ok....babies;really?? Well, here is proof that babies/cherubs are also a popular element in door frames!!

These are amazing! A few of them look like they are portraying scenes from mythology? (not sure - I'm not familiar enough with all the stories!) I particularly like the one in the lower right.
Who could not adore a cherub?
Mishkat told me about your blog b/c she knows that we've been to Prague many times and love it. I know "sad doors" well - have many photos of those from a visit in the early 90s. See you again soon.
