Saturday/Sunday Door

Saturday/Sunday Door? What kind of door is that? Well, normally, on Saturday I show you a 'Sad' Door and on Sunday, I show you a church door...well, today, since I have a million things to do in our garden (while the weather is FANTASTIC), I'm doing a double post: a 'Sad Church Door' (yes, this was a side door).

Can you imagine the sadness this poor door feels for not being a door anymore? OK, so the door itself is no longer there, but it once was and the frame is still there...waiting. Just like the angels that are still watching over over it. Watching and waiting. And waiting...for someone to go through a door that isn't there.

Sunday Door

I don't know why, but I always prefer my Sunday doors to be in sepia...I guess like that they seem more other-worldly and spiritual.

Church Door Sunday

This is another side door to a church...this time, to the Church of St. Giles. As is the case in many of the churches in Prague, there are regularly scheduled concerts which explains the poster in front of this door. Again, I don't know how often this side entrance is used, but it seems to be used on occasion. Church Door Sunday

A nice church door from the Church of Our Lady of the Snows. I regret that I didn't catch this when the light was optimal, but I have to say that the shadows highlight the mosaic of the church's namesake. The door speaks for itself so I won't comment more. I will, however, say that I would highly recommend visiting this church if you don't know it (click above on the name of the church to go to a website offering more information). Our Lady here isn't terribly easy to find, but when you do, you feel as if you've found a nugget of gold in a pile of polished stones.
